Ski Lodge Getaway

I am so excited to report SweetPea readers, that I am finally going on a trip! Yippeee! Tonight my guy and I are loading up the car and heading north for a ski getaway in Thompsonville, Michigan. I am so excited to hit the slopes and learn how to snow board! Here is my getaway outfit, perfect for a snow bunny! (The only thing I don't own is the back pack, very unfortunate). Either way, I like any excuse to rock fair isle print with heeled lumberjack boots :). Happy weekend!

How amazing is this coat from Le Train Bleu? I think it would be the perfect transitional piece from winter to spring. The colors, the floral, the print all make my heart swell! Fabulous.

For as long as I can remember, I have had a strong attraction towards fair isle sweaters. Every winter rolls around and I tell myself that I do not need another cozy, winter themed sweater but alas, I always end up caving and buying just one more! I reason that they are perfect for ski weekends although at this point I am not sure how I will work out wearing all eight of mine in three days. Baby It's Cold Outside

Hello SweetPea readers! Sorry for the delay in posts it has been a CRAZY week! Lot's of work for Aprizi (so exciting!) and The Tail, and some very dear friends from Paris were staying with me in the windy city this week! As it is absolutely freezing here now and very blustery, I thought a coat post would be appropriate. I am also what I consider a coataholic and have an unhealthy and costly obsession with buying coats and therefore find it very easy to scour for my favorite coat collections! That said, I am totally lusting for anything by Lauren Moffat. She makes the most gorgeous coats (as seen above) that I am dying to get my hands on. Hot Head

Well my dearies, I feel like I had the weekend early because my mom came to visit and we spent a few days doing girl stuff and shopping! Sadly I have to work the weekend but at least I had a fun week! We shopped on the mag mile and had lunch at the most delicious french restaurant in town. We also popped into Adobo for some home made guacamole (they make it in front of you at the table!) by my apartment which is next to the legendary Second City and had a wonderful time. One of my favorite things was this awesome new head band I bought at Anthropologie. It is such a great way to stay chic and warm and not have hat hair. I think it would look really cute on people with short pixie cuts! Happy Weekend!
