Pretty in Pastels

I am feeling a bit of the winter blues lately so what better way to combat freezing temps and biting winds than with beautiful, ethereal pastels? I know it's been a few months but looking at the images of Spring fashion week has me feeling a little warmer already! Pastels were everywhere in floral trousers and chiffon frocks and even some wild accessories from Prada.  I know it seems cliche but every Spring I long for delicate hues and over-the-top florals and I'm glad that designers are embracing this trend. My favorite, hands-down, was the Louis Vuitton show where Marc Jacobs incorporated a life-size pastel carousal on the runway.

Here are some pastel trends I found around the web creeping into some more affordable retailers. Stay warm!

Comfy pastel funnel neck sweatshirt from Gap...

Amazing tunic from topshop...

These platforms would look AMAZING on tanned legs.....

I want to collect and trade these rubber bangles like in grade school...

Pretty blouse that I would tuck into some high was it front-tie khakis...

Trench Trendy

So for any of you who read this blog regularly, you probably know about my obsession with coats. I think they are the easiest way to look put together and the best accessory. Thus, my obsession extends to spring and summer coats, especially trenches. There is nothing better than a form-fitting khaki trench to look sophisticated and elegant. Here are some of my favorite (non khaki trench) coats from around the web that would look fabulous for Spring. ( I also threw in a few rainy day accessories for good measure!) How amazing is the yellow coat and those boat goulashes? So cute!

Fabulosity

How amazing is this coat from Le Train Bleu? I think it would be the perfect transitional piece from winter to spring. The colors, the floral, the print all make my heart swell! Fabulous.
