Fabulosity
Ok, at first these look kind of tacky but I saw them on the Today show this morning and it's kind of genius! They are rhinestone band-aids - or "Boo Boo Bling" that sparkle! If that's not fabulosity I don't know what is. Especially for the pic above if you cut yourself shaving but have to dress up that night! I always hate if I cut my finger cooking and I am wearing a grubby brown band-aid that looks ugly for days. But the bling would look like a fabulous accessory! What do you guys think; fabulous or flop?

Rad
AnthropoligieHow cool is this color wheel knob from Anthropologie? I love their knobs and I think they can really transform a room even though it's the slightest detail. The artist in me loves the color wheel now if only I can find a knob...maybe my white desk? Bingo!
Snap
Good morning all! I am FINALLY moved in! However, there is still the unpacking / decorating which is going to take some time over the next few days! That said, I am so in love with my apartment it's not even funny! I am so excited to post pics when all is said and done. I choose this Snap picture for today because I will be doing a similar motif above my couch! Happy Thursday - the weekend is almost here! Photo via Design+Crush.

Money Talks
So, has anyone else seen the design for new currency? I definitely think it's got a love / hate following. Personally, I like it and this article points out some of the convient aspects that would come about with new bills. Plus, I like the colors and let's be honest, our currency is so dirty and flimsy and boring compared to the rest of the world's. Imagine holding slick shiny colorful bills! Perhaps they could spur the economy because people would want to spend their fun money (Wishful thinking). What do you think? The link above shows more of the colors / designs.
P.S. If your looking for a new dress.....look no further!

Vintage
So, I walked in to my local grocery yesterday and saw a big display of "Throwback" Pepsi and Mountain Dew. I am wondering if it taste's any different and seems like a bit of a desperate marketing ploy but it totally worked on me! I would definitely pick a few packs to serve at a party or to match my retro kitchen. I am also predicting that a few of these will pop up in some wedding blog pics at "vintage" style weddings. What do you guys thing of vintage soda? Lame or fun?

Moving Time!
I feel like I am swimming in to-do lists since I am moving in 6 days. This book made me laugh and would be fun to have if only I had time to devote to trivial tasks! Check out this kitschy notebook @ The Curiosity Shoppe.

Doesn't This Look Delish?
Sorry the posts have been so minimal this week! Busy busy busy! But there will be much fabulosity to come! In the mean time I want to try this guacamole recipe courtesy of design*sponge. Yum! Happy Weekend!

Save Anna
I am ashamed to admit that I just watched The September Issue for the first time last night. It is a great documentary on the making of the September issue of Vogue and offers an intimate view of the life of Anna Wintour at Vogue and even reveals a glimpse of her personal life. Overall it focuses on the dynamics and frenzy that surround Wintour in the Vogue office and all of her eclectic albeit talented staffers. It's an instant play on Netflix and I highly recommend it. Now I gotta get me one of these T-shirts!

Finally! A Chic Camera Bag!
I have always been on the hunt for a cute / chic camera bag that could function as a purse too. It is such a pain on vacation to lug around a giant Nikon bag but I hate wrapping up my expensive Nikon and lenses in scarfs and shoving them in my purse! I found these on one of my favorite sites and it comes in four colors! My favorite is the nautical blue :)

My Back to School Shopping List:
My mom reminded me today how much I used to adore going "back to school shopping". I of course loved shopping for clothes because Fall has always been my favorite season and August in a mid-western mall meant stacks of sweaters and dark jeans and shirts to layer and my favorite...Coats!! Alas, I am a little more grown up but I still can't help but yearn for trips to Target or Office Depot to get my hands on a packet of freshly sharpened pencils or a stack full of colorful notebooks, or better yet, a stylish, kick a** binder that would sure garner me some attention (or so I thought). That said, now that I am out of school I still feel the urge to shop this time of year as it satisfies that need to be prepared for the new year as the summer is ending. So here is my little back to school shopping list; some things I have grown out of (like an obsessive need to buy Abercrombie and Fitch graphic T's) but I am still a sucker for desk supplies and coats (as seen above). What were your favorite things when back to school shopping? Happy Shopping!
Above:
- Navy School Boy Blazer from J.Crew - nuff said
- Rucksack from LL. Bean - I was OBSESSED with my hot pink canvas LL. Bean monogramed backpack as a kid. This is perhaps a little more sophisticated!
- Bensimon tennis lace-ups - Because everyone needs new sneaks!
- Library Pocket Journal - combines my two loves: notebooks and old library books! heaven!
- Gummy Bear Erase/Sharpener - adorable and delicious from one of my favorite sites!

Welcome Home
Hello! I hope everyone had a fun or peaceful weekend. Now that I have found my apartment I can finally, ACTUALLY pick out things for the place since it exists now and I actually know what will fit and how to decorate! Joy! That said, my entrance is small and hallway-like that faces a wall. I would like to hang a print here, as it is the first thing you see when you open the door but I didn't want a cliche artsy or fashion print. This lead me to the search for a perfect print with nothing on it but text. To my complete delight I found an adorable etsy shop with nothing but whimsical text prints! Out of the above, which do you like or would you like framed in your home? Keeping in mind it is the first thing people will see, each poster would serve a different purpose. The first is kind of clever and funny; a good first impression I suppose! I like the second as it could insinuate that my guest is about to enter a fun and fabulous apartment! The third is a cute and quirky welcome (and the one I'm leaning towards) and of course the last is pretty obvious. So, if you could, please tell me which poster should don my hall or maybe something different entirely? Cheers :)
