Artist's Corner: Georges Dambier

I was flipping through the NYT Sunday Styles section this Monday and I came across a small article on a photographer I had never heard of, Georges Dambier. From the first glance at the picture accompanying the article, I knew I needed to do a little research on this photographer. Dambier started his career working with the famous artist and poster designer Paul Colin. After WWII Dambier started his photography career which would eventually land him a permanent job at Elle magazine and many other fashion publication's including Vogue, over the years. He was a prominent fashion photography in Paris through the 1950's which is where most of the photos above are taken. I love how he captures women in such unique and elegant manner. Very feminine. Aren't they lovely?
